This delightfully
situated traditional farmhouse is at the end of a
no-through lane on a hilltop with all-round countryside
panoramic
views. From the rear of the property, the view is over a
deep, wooded valley with a river running through
it and from the front over rolling
countryside towards the Blond mountains.

The house has
three bedrooms and a study with a large double aspect
lounge and large double-aspect kitchen. The back door leads to a
terrace and verandah traditionally constructed in oak
and with a canal-tiled roof, making the most of the stunning
views. There are two bathrooms, a large family bathroom
and a small bathroom with toilet and washbasin upstairs.
The main garden is
all around the house and is fenced, with gates leading to a
separate field or paddock, chicken house and run, a long
vegetable plot with a deep well beside it and an
extensive parking area as well as a driveway to the
property. There are
three piggeries for storage with an enclosed
yard and covered wood store, an outbuilding for freezers and
bikes etc and a bread oven and workshop where the boiler
and oil tank are and also a workbench and tool racks.
There
is full oil-fired central heating throughout the house.
There is also a Supra 11kw wood-burner in the kitchen
and a 11kw Godin woodburner in the lounge which means that the
heating only has to be used in the extremes of winter.
The windows are double-glazed oak and the front and back
doors are double-glazed stable doors and also in oak, all installed in 2000 and
with a Lapeyre 30 year guarantee.
There was a brand-new roof put on by a
French artisan in 2002 and there is a phone line and
ADSL installed. The whole property
sits on approximately three acres (just over a hectare)
with mature oak trees, other trees and bushes. |
